Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez Prove that Silly Ads are a Part of Music Videos

Last time, we took a look at the ads shown in Britney Spears' Hold It Against Me music video. Apparently, this is just a trend of new marketing technique. At least this is what we can conclude from the music videos of Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.

First of all, we all know that Jennifer Lopez's new album is out. Its first single On the Floor featuring Pitbull was already released in music video format.

In the beginning of this video, we are shown Jennifer Lopez coming to the nightclub in a BMW. Of course, it is also a form of advertising the car, but it cannot be taken as silly as the next ad.

Now just before she enters the club she is shown displaying a Swarvoski jewelry box. She basically takes out earrings from it to wear.

From a woman's point of view, this is rather hilarious. Actually, to make the ad more credible, the director should have shown Jennifer Lopez wearing the earrings just when she was getting ready for her evening concert at the club.

No woman on this planet wears earrings right after reaching her destination and that is also in the open! By the way, Swarovski is not such an expensive brand.

Next we have Christina Aguilera. Her Not Myself Tonight music video was thrashed by many and Yahoo! declared it as the worst of 2010. This is not our headache though. We are just going to look at her silly advertisement. It is actually of her own perfumes.
Of course other brands such as Nokia and Carrera were also present in Not Myself Tonight, but they did not get the priority that the perfumes got. Christina Aguilera was all over them and that is also just before making love to some unknown man.
She does have the right to wear her own perfume in her own video. But spraying it all over her body like crazy right before love making session is a bit scary. Perhaps, that is why her man was shown sweating.
